Railway stations have been chosen as a promotional stage, logically, to be places which receive so much people, and further ,by an historical reason and sign of identity, the ancients sellers from Albacete (Spain) who carried pocket knives in a belt (50´s) used to wait for the train stops at the station to get on the train and sell knives with the sweet song of “navajas, navajicas de Albacete …”, hence, our Monument dedicated to that ancients, located in Altozano Square of Albacete (Spain), and inaugurated by Amos Nunez in 1998, is staring at, maybe winking, our train station, that even today, it keeps awesome memories of that time.

From this moment, at Juan Jose Martinez workshop are manufactured different typical pockets knives of Santa Cruz de Mudela (Ciudad Real – Spain), as Arab style, taconcillo, stilettos, sailors, with carbon steel blades acid etched and enameled made.

In 1976, the Trade Union Work of Craft, awards the Medal of Merit for Labour.

In 1997, he receives the title of Master Craftsman of Castilla La Mancha and recognition of the cutlery industry at a tribute of APRECU.
