Case XX MIni Copperlock Dark Red Bone CV knife, made in USA, CV stainless steel blade, an alloyed steel of Chrome - Vanadium, which allows an amazing ease of re-sharpening, 2mm thickness, with nail notch, and heel of the blade marked by "CASE XX USA 61749L CV". Bolsters of nickel silver, brass liners and lock back. Scales of carved bone red dyed with stainless steel rivets, one of the scales shows an oval insert with the brand "CASE".

Traditional American knife, made in Bradford, Pennsylvania (USA), by family company W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co., dedicated to manufacture of knives since 1899 and over the years, it has gained the recognition as a leading manufacturer of knives with new designs and materials, all around the world.
The "XX" was used as a quality check system during the process of heat-treating of blades; when the blades were put through the initial hardening furnace, an "X" was marked on the pan holding the blades. When the blades were returned to the oven for tempering, a second "X" was added. "XX" then shows that each blade had been properly and fully treated.
